Wisdom Homes has been delivering quality homes across NSW since 1999, and has since expanded into pools and landscaping to offer customers a complete turn-key solution. As the business grew, so did the demands on its technology.

When Wisdom relocated its head office from Narellan to Gregory Hills, the move involved more than shifting desks and hardware. It meant relocating 200+ staff across multiple sites — including display villages — while using the opportunity to completely uplift their IT environment.

For a fast-moving construction and landscaping business, downtime wasn’t an option.

Relocating a business of this size is challenging on its own. But Wisdom Homes also saw it as the perfect chance to modernise their ICT systems — moving away from ageing infrastructure to a more resilient, cloud-ready setup.

The risks were significant: downtime could stall sales, data loss could disrupt projects, and staff productivity would suffer if systems weren’t ready on day one. The relocation wasn’t just logistical — it was a full digital transformation with no room for error.

C4X started with a full audit of Wisdom’s existing IT, identifying what could be repurposed to save costs and where new systems were needed. From there, we mapped out a “seed and slide” migration plan — running old and new systems in parallel, then sliding staff over once everything was tested and stable.

This method allowed us to reduce risk, avoid downtime, and deliver immediate improvements, while keeping an eye on the long term: building an environment that was as scalable as Wisdom’s own business growth.

Office Relocation & Infrastructure Build

C4X designed and deployed an on-premise IT environment with cloud backup and disaster recovery. We networked the new three-storey head office with a high-capacity fibre backbone, redundant switches, and enterprise Wi-Fi — while repurposing viable hardware from the old site to reduce capital spend.

Microsoft 365 Migration & Backup

Over 200 users and 35 shared mailboxes were migrated to Microsoft 365, with backups securely stored in the C4X datacentre. Staff gained unlimited OneDrive and email storage, enterprise features like e-discovery and encryption, and a more reliable platform for daily communication.

Virtualisation & Application Hosting

Core business applications — from Business Craft to file servers — were virtualised on VMware, giving Wisdom a more flexible, efficient environment.

Security & Perimeter Protection

We implemented cloud-based security tools for app control and web filtering, alongside Microsoft 365 compliance safeguards, strengthening the digital perimeter and protecting sensitive business data.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

A cloud-based Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) program was deployed, with virtual replication and infrastructure snapshots stored at the C4X datacentre. The solution was tested and validated, ensuring that Wisdom’s systems are “Always On” — even in the event of a disaster.
